Susan Arnout Smith was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She grew up in Bergen Park, Colorado, and moved back north to work on the Alaska pipeline and as a television anchor. Married, both her children were born in Anchorage.
She’s been an essayist for National Public Radio Weekend-Edition Sunday, and an award winning playwright and scriptwriter, writing television movies seen on LIFETIME, ABC and CBS.
Her first thriller, THE TIMER GAME, was published in January 2008 by Harper Perennial. She lives in southern California.
